Location: Branford, CT
Essential Duties & Functions

Lead and direct the manufacturing areas of the business unit.
Ensure on time delivery and quality of all product shipments.
Make steady productivity improvements that lead to cost savings.
Plan, schedule, and coordinate shop floor work flow and manage overtime.
Lead and monitor performance through direct involvement, team development, coaching, establishment of goals and good countermeasure practices.
Maintain daily cost, schedule, and quality metrics on the Production floor.
Direct management of employees on the shop floor.
Provide the leadership and management necessary for the continuous improvement of the unit’s processes and overall performance to objectives and goals.
Direct interactions with all support functions, including but not limited to Quality, Manufacturing, and Design Engineers
Working collaboratively with shipping, planning, and other business partners in relation to product shipments and workflow throughout the plant
Interpret various reporting documents in place to insure continuity of the operations, including but not limited to labor reporting, efficiency reporting, and utilization reporting.
Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations
Must be able to actively engage with employees, supervisors, and other managers throughout the plant.
Must be proficient with Excel, Word, and other MS Office programs
Participate in training sessions as directed
Domestic and International Travel up to 35%
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must have a thorough knowledge of all manufacturing methods and techniques, and related equipment including shop floor control, production planning, and inventory control applications.
Must be able to read and interpret drawings and specifications
Must be familiar with product construction and application
Must have prior manufacturing experience
Must have very strong leadership skills, with excellent oral and written communication skills
Must be self-motivated, and able to work independently
Must be able to manage multiple tasks and or priorities and easily adapt to changing situations
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain good working relationships
Demonstrated ability to implement actions and deliver results
Must have strong written and verbal skills
Education & Experience
Requires a B.S. or equivalent Degree in a technical field
5 years of progressive manufacturing experience and responsibilities, 3 of which must be in a supervisory capacity
Demonstrated effective project management
Physical Demands & Work Environment
Some light physical effort required
Must be able to push, pull, and lift at least 15 lbs.
