Location: Branford, CT

Essential Duties & Functions

 Lead and direct the manufacturing areas of the business unit.
 Ensure on time delivery and quality of all product shipments.
 Make steady productivity improvements that lead to cost savings.
 Plan, schedule, and coordinate shop floor work flow and manage overtime.
 Lead and monitor performance through direct involvement, team development, coaching, establishment of goals and good countermeasure practices.
 Maintain daily cost, schedule, and quality metrics on the Production floor.
 Direct management of employees on the shop floor.
 Provide the leadership and management necessary for the continuous improvement of the unit’s processes and overall performance to objectives and goals.
 Direct interactions with all support functions, including but not limited to Quality, Manufacturing, and Design Engineers
 Working collaboratively with shipping, planning, and other business partners in relation to product shipments and workflow throughout the plant
 Interpret various reporting documents in place to insure continuity of the operations, including but not limited to labor reporting, efficiency reporting, and utilization reporting.
 Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations
 Must be able to actively engage with employees, supervisors, and other managers throughout the plant.
 Must be proficient with Excel, Word, and other MS Office programs
 Participate in training sessions as directed
 Domestic and International Travel up to 35%

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
 Must have a thorough knowledge of all manufacturing methods and techniques, and related equipment including shop floor control, production planning, and inventory control applications.
 Must be able to read and interpret drawings and specifications
 Must be familiar with product construction and application
 Must have prior manufacturing experience
 Must have very strong leadership skills, with excellent oral and written communication skills
 Must be self-motivated, and able to work independently
 Must be able to manage multiple tasks and or priorities and easily adapt to changing situations
 Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain good working relationships
 Demonstrated ability to implement actions and deliver results
 Must have strong written and verbal skills

Education & Experience
 Requires a B.S. or equivalent Degree in a technical field
 5 years of progressive manufacturing experience and responsibilities, 3 of which must be in a supervisory capacity
 Demonstrated effective project management

Physical Demands & Work Environment
 Some light physical effort required
 Must be able to push, pull, and lift at least 15 lbs.
 Sitting, standing, reaching, bending, and moving
 Manufacturing environment
